Summer Session Schedule:
- Breakfast 8:00 - 8:25 am (optional)
- Period 1: 8:30 – 10:20
- Period 2: 10:30 – 12:20
- Lunch: 12:30 - 1:00 pm (optional)
Intensive, enrichment, original credit and credit recovery courses are offered to all eligible students in the district. Students, including option school students, access their home high school first. If course is not offered, they enroll in another comprehensive high schools within the district.
Intensive Summer Version (ISV) courses
Due to high demand, Sunset will be opening a second section of AGS 2 – ISV (intensive summer version). Registration for this course will open on Monday, 4/22 and close Friday, 4/26, and priority will be given for students that live in the Sunset boundary. Any remaining open slots will be filled in the order the registration forms were received.
Confirmation of your placement in the course will be sent via email when all registrants have been verified after the registration period closes.
In addition, Sunset is also offering other intensive summer courses: AGS 3 – ISV, Japanese 2, Spanish 2/3, and French 1/2.
AGS II Registration for this class is closed. At capacity.
AGS II SECOND SECTION
Intensive Summer Version (ISV) courses are designed for students who seek advancement in a course sequence that a standard 4-year high school schedule will not allow. These courses provide the same content coverage and rigor as their classroom counterparts but in a highly accelerated format. The goal is for students to gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed for success in the next course in the sequence. There are prerequisites for this class, including Teacher and counselor recommendation and approval required
Mandatory orientation meeting for parents/students required prior to class start.
Classes begin online in late May, then continue in person from 6/24-7/25
Priority is given to current SHS students and incoming 9th graders
Registrations will not be taken over the phone or via email. Such inquiries will not hold a seat in a class.
Please register only one student per registration form. Do not put two or more students on one form.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Non-BSD Students will not be issued a district Chromebook. They must have their own
All withdrawals must be in written form.
Withdrawal fees (listed below) are based on the following deadlines:
- Unless otherwise indicated, academic classes are held Monday - Thursday.
- Classes will not be held July 4, 2019.
- More than two absences will lead to a loss of credit in a credit class.
Code of Conduct
All students are expected to treat faculty, all staff, other students, and the physical property of BSD with respect. Students who fail to do so will be asked to leave the program without a refund. The rules and regulations in the Student and Family Handbook, from the prior school year, are still in effect. All rules and regulations will be reviewed the first day of each class.
Under-enrolled classes may be cancelled. Notification will be sent, if necessary.
